We would love for our guests to wear these colors on our special day.
"So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate"
Matthew 19:6
They always said we were too different—me, Ae Sun, full of noise and fire; and Gwan Sik, all quiet stares and steady hands. But somehow, our differences fit. He never tried to change me. I chased big dreams, and he just... showed up. Fixed my broken scooter, brought me tangerines, waited in the rain when no one else would.
We didn’t fall in love all at once. It happened slowly—in the spaces between arguments and silences, in the way we walked side by side without needing to speak. One night, when I finally admitted I was scared of being stuck, he just said, “You’re already something. To me.” And that was enough.
Now, we don’t say “I love you” every day. We don’t need to. It’s in the way he leaves a flower by the door. It’s in the way I make his tea just right. Somehow, against all odds, we became us. And that’s the part of the story that matters most.
